A Typical Day in Andaman Sport Fishing
Fishing in a tropical paradise
Your day starts early with a quiet island sunrise and a warm breakfast at the lodge. By 7:30 AM, you are on your way to the Havelock jetty, where your private vessel—fully equipped and crewed by our trusted local associates—is ready for departure. Lines are in the water by 8:00 AM, and the next eight hours unfold across some of the most fish-rich waters in the Indian Ocean. Depending on the sea conditions and targets, you might start the day trolling along reef edges for King Mackerel and Barracuda, then switch to popping for Giant Trevally or jigging for Dogtooth Tuna and Groupers in deeper channels.
The rhythm of the ocean sets the pace—focused, yet never rushed. Onboard, a simple lunch is served, along with snacks and refreshments. There is time to watch dolphins surface nearby or scan for seabirds hovering above bait balls. The crew guides you through techniques, handles gear, and helps secure each hard-won catch—whether for the photo or the table. By 4:30 PM, the boat returns to Havelock. Sun-tired but thrilled, you disembark and return to your lodge with stories and photos that need no exaggeration.
The evening is for rest, reflection, and preparing for another day in these untamed waters.
